Abstract. The paper counter-poses the two senses of the Gay Science metaphor: the first which was imposed by the medieval troubadours and the second - by Nietzsche. Just from these two points of view are evaluated the directions of use of the IT towards the expectations and illusions linked to them. But philosophy can also be judged in this frame.
